Improving my photo skillz

I decided to improve my photo-fu, and i scoured the web for different tutorials on how to take good photos, and how to post-process the photos.

The gear used:

1. Cannon PowerShot A540
2. GIMP
3. Cloud backdrops from Corvus

Photos were taken on manual setting, using a tripod, no flash, no color adjustment, mid aperture and long exposure with one light source

In post-processing I just cropped the image, used Auto levels adjust in GIMP, and resized to 600 width.

Here are the results:

    I love GIMP, such a great programme. I need to get me some backgrounds!

    He has good ones there. Just print them out on a good laser color printer
