Time, time, time ...

That is exactly what i don't have in abundance these days, and the progress on the Space Wolves dread is slightly slower than i would like it to be.

At least i managed to get it all primed and almost ready for paint (some last moment mold lines popped up that need to be cleaned up)

Just for the record the primer used is generic brand black gesso. It leaves a slightly grainy surface that actually works for what i have in mind for this dread (this reminds me to hop to my local art store and get some better gesso :))

And of course, here are the pics :)

This is what happens when i have too much time on my hands (or just a basic desire to make something different)

Or in other words how does a generic little AoBR Dreadnought become a Space Wolves Dreadnought.
It all started with the fact that i want to make myself a Space Wolves army. I have this thing about norse mythology, and SW just rub me in the right ways :)
I recently bought a few boxes of Space Wolves parts, and decided to convert my vanilla dread into a mean and lean Space Wolves killing machine (even though i left it for now with the default multi melta and stormbolter)

To cut the long story short, here are the results:

Work in progress (Lets call it "just a base")

Today i started working on bases for some of the models from Assault on Black Reach starter box that my sister got me for birthday. Most of the marines (except the commander) and the Dreadnought started receiving bases. Here are some snapshots of the dread.

Thus it begins

A few people told me that I should start a blog to showcase all the miniatures i assemble, paint, and rarely convert and modify.
Before kicking this off, just a few words about me. I'm currently 36 (some will say too old to play with toy soldiers but i say who cares), I've meddled with miniature war gaming on and off for the past 15 or so years, and now I'm back in the hobby after a longer off period (something like 5 years of not touching any paints of a paintbrush).
Projects I'm currently working on will hopefully be showcased on this blog, and to kick it off, here are some images of the old Warmachine miniatures i decided to practice on.
