Prime first, ask questions later

Today I was reminded why priming all miniatures with proper primer is a must.

I finally found the time to go to the local hardware store and get some good primer, I sprayed the four prepared mini's, and all the mold lines that I managed to miss just popped out :)

Time to sand it all down, retouch the primer, and let it all dry properly.

Only now when the models are properly primed can I appreciate the level of detail these models have. Its simply amazing :)

I'm pretty sure they will be a joy to paint

Time, time, time ...

That is exactly what i don't have in abundance these days, and the progress on the Space Wolves dread is slightly slower than i would like it to be.

At least i managed to get it all primed and almost ready for paint (some last moment mold lines popped up that need to be cleaned up)

Just for the record the primer used is generic brand black gesso. It leaves a slightly grainy surface that actually works for what i have in mind for this dread (this reminds me to hop to my local art store and get some better gesso :))

And of course, here are the pics :)
