Painting session, October 15th 2011, Ramat Hasharon

Three painters, pizza, beers, and a bunch of miniatures. Cant ask for more :)

I hope we can turn these sessions into something more than occasional meetings and hopefully we will have a lot more people working with us. Painting is a joy!

Me busy with my faithful #4 brush (basecoating various space wolves heroes) :)

Back to Circle Orboros

After about a month's break, I'm back at my trusty Circle Orboros models.

This time I started on a unit of mannikins and sentry stone, shifting stones, and some woldstalkers and their stoneward.

As usual, I stared off with the bases.

These photos are actually horrible and overexposed, but they give the basic idea.

Bases started off with my standard milliput method, and will be mostly covered afterwards in grass tufts.

More work on the long fangs

They are mostly done. Just to finish off the bases, and to give them one final oil color wash.

Amazing day at a friend's place

Today i was at a friend's place, and we decided to dedicate the whole day to modeling.

He is currently working on a large wh40k chaos force with a lot of forgeworld models, and i took the opportunity to start painting my magnetized long fangs, and two special terminators, namely Arjac Rockfist, and a lone wolf (and some more wolves). In the process I also finished to Circle Orboros models that were half done for quite some time.

And to cut it short, I will let the pictures speak for themselves:

Wargamer fuel: pizza, coke and beer!

I had my painted Terminators with me, and just couldnt resist taking these photos :)

The results of the day are here :)

Long overdue Circle Orboros images

These three nice little models just sat in the cabinet, waiting for a long time to be finished. Finally they are all done.

(soon they will be getting their land raider as well :))

Wolf Guard Terminators pt. 2

These five terminators are getting a lot of love :)

They are almost finished. Just waiting now for their oil washes.

And now for something completely different

Its ...

A model airplane!

Good ole' 1:72 Ju-87 B2/R2 Stuka, from Italeri.

For now I assembled the cockpit, painted it, and afterwards assembled the whole aeroplane around the painted cockpit.

Here is the eye candy:

All I can say after this experience is that 1:72 model airplanes are seriously tiny and hard as hell to assemble. Some of the pieces on the Stuka are missing since they were just too tiny to even contemplate clipping off the sprue.
