Today was mostly spent on preparing four heavy jacks for priming. In the meanwhile these two little models were painted up to tabletop standard :)
More updated will follow :)

Small update

Storm Strider FTW!
All there is left to do is a few minor touch-ups and to add some battle damage.
This is probably one of the best models I ever painted :)

More work on the battle engine
The work on the battle engine progresses well :)
The legs and the tiny torso were first primed:
And while the primer dried, I finished the base with static grass and the tufts:
There might be a little more drybrush involved with the base, but I will have to take another look tomorrow and decide :)
And here is how the whole thing will look like on the base:

Slowly getting there :)
Here is what an honest afternoon's work can achieve :)
The base for the storm strider was textured, and later on primed.
Here is what it looks like now :)
While I waited for all the paint to dry, I managed to finish my last light jack as well :)

Beginning of a larger project
My Storm Strider arrived a few days ago, and I decided to paint it to the highest level i'm capable of, and enter it into Wamp's Privateer Press competition.
For now I just started planing it out :)
The base follow's my theme for the cygnar army: cobblestone roads, wall, and there will be a lot of red earth and grass on it once the pva glue holding the wall and cobbles dries.

More Cygnary goodness
The army that I will use on the next tourney is starting to take shape and get some color :)
Here are three models that just have to be used all the time :)

Some new bases done
Some of my favorite models are coming up, so I made them some special bases.
First the base for Kara Sloan:
I had a lot of thoughts about the base for Minuteman, and finally I decided to give him something to jump from :) A piece of a wall looked just right for the task :)
And finally the base for Hunter #2. This one I plan to paint to a lot higher standard than the last one, so the base should be fitting :)
The only one that can be called "finished" for now is the Kara Sloan base.

Six wreck markers in one afternoon :)
The question I ask myself is whether to leave them as they are oily and dirty or go on and add more battle damage to them and make them even filthier ?
If anyone has an idea how to make trampled and oil stained grass for these please say so :)

Hunter and Lancer are all ready for the tabletop. And I have to say that I love the hunter :) Very nice to paint, and very easy to assemble.
